Baby Celebration and Dedication Day

Join us for Baby Celebration and Dedication Day on Sunday, May 12, 2024. We will begin with a brunch for parents during our Sunday School hour, followed by photos of all nursery children. Then, in our 10:30am worship service, we will have a special dedication of babies to the Lord. If you have a child who has not yet been dedicated, they are welcome to participate. To register, please call Mrs. Betsy at the church office.

Easter Egg Hunt

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at 11:00am at Sunnyside Baptist Church. The event is open to kids of all ages, including those with special needs, so that everyone can participate in the fun! The doors will open at 10:30am, and there will be several exciting activities to enjoy before the Egg Hunt that will start around 11:45am.

Greater Vision in Concert

Join us for Greater Vision in concert on Sunday Evening, February 25 at 6pm.

Since December of 1990, Greater Vision has inspired audiences around the world with their rich vocal blend and their effective ability to communicate the message of the gospel.  They have established a firm place at the pinnacle of Christian music, becoming the most awarded trio in the history of Gospel music.

Gerald Wolfe, the group's founder, serves as Pianist and Emcee. Multi-Award-winning Songwriter, Rodney Griffin, sings the Lead part for the trio. Chris Allman, Gospel Music’s Favorite Tenor, and also a prolific songwriter, sings Tenor. Jon Epley is the newest member of the group having joined April of 2017 as the Baritone singer. He is also a prolific songwriter.

Greater Vision has appeared regularly on the InTouch television program hosted by Dr. Charles Stanley, for more than 30 years. They also appear on the Gaither Gospel Video Series. One of their most popular endeavors, in recent years, has been as a part of the very popular "Gospel Music Hymn Sing" DVDs and coinciding GMHS live events across the USA, and most recently, Australia.

Greater Vision's latest “new songs” recording, "Think About There,” features new songs written by Rodney Griffin, Chris Allman, and Jon Epley, along with other notable writers. The new project was produced by Gerald Wolfe and Trey Ivey, and is distributed by Daywind Records, and has already garnered two Number One songs, as well as a Dove Award nomination for “Album Of The Year.” Their most recent recording, “Christmas In London with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra” has set a new standard for Christmas recordings in Gospel Music. Produced by Trey Ivey & Gerald Wolfe, and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England, “Christmas In London” has already been called “an instant Classic,” and will become part of many families’ Christmas traditions for generations to come.

 More than 160 times every year, Greater Vision presents the Gospel, through music, in a way that has endeared them to audiences around the world.

We Need Christmas

Mark your calendars for December 3 at 6pm and join us for our GLO Puppet Ministry presentation of “We Need Christmas.” This is a new Christmas on the Tree Farm play featuring our puppet Living Christmas Tree with our play written by Brent Helvey. Following the presentation, we will move to the Family Life Center for Christmas in Five Letters. There will be eight multisensory stations where you and your children (and it’s not just for kids, everyone is welcome) will explore God’s amazing love and celebrate the birth of Christ our Savior. We are so excited for your family to experience Christmas in a fresh and meaningful way as you witness Jesus...Foretold by Prophets, Conceived by a Virgin, Proclaimed by Shepherds, Worshipped by Magi, and Celebrated by Us! You’ll even leave with your own puppet you can make and a nativity Christmas ornament!

Creation Crawler

Sunnyside Baptist Church's GLO Puppet Ministry is dimming the lights in its Family Life Center for two performances on Sunday, September 10 at 3pm and 6pm featuring a new glow-in-the-dark puppet show musical, Creation Crawler. This theatrical performance is packed with a fun musical score, amazing puppetry, and dazzling neon colors. This one-of-a-kind show is a must see for the fall 2023. The underwater glow-in-the-dark adventure to the bottom of the sea is the perfect fall entertainment for families.

With brightly colored and stunning visuals, Creation Crawler is performed completely in the dark. Contrary to the typical stationary positions in which puppeteers remain concealed behind a solid structure, in Creation Crawler puppeteers are dressed from head to toe in black, camouflaged from the audience, while black lights illuminate only the puppets. They are then able to make full use of the stage while being hidden as the main characters sing, dance, and make new friends.

Spin the spinner, beat the clock, skip ahead, play to win! Twists & Turns VBS is a fantastical celebration of games of all kinds, from classic tabletop games to strategy games to video games and more! At the Bible Study Game, your child will see Jesus through the eyes of one of His closest friends and discover that trusting Jesus as Savior changes the game! Jesus guides us through all the twists and turns of our lives. He helps us know His ways and teaches us His paths!

Join us for a very special Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1pm. This egg hunt is for children (walkers-8th grade, please) with sensory issues (difficulty processing feelings, smells, sounds, etc.) and/or mobility issues (such as requires a wheelchair, walker, foot/leg braces, difficulty walking or standing, etc) Bring a basket or bag for egg collection.
