Sunnyside Kids offers age-specific ministries with interactive, biblical teaching and activities for every age.

Nursery
We feel it is very important to share the love of Jesus with a child from birth. We believe all children are a gift from God and deserve extra special care which we strive to offer here at Sunnyside. We provide childcare from birth to 2 years old for all services.

Sunday School
We have just the right Sunday School class for your infant through 6th grader. Your child will be welcomed at 9:15am by our wonderful volunteer teachers who have years of experience teaching children!

Sunnyvale Children's Church
Children 3 years old-3rd Grade are invited to worship in Sunnyvale (our children’s play area consisting of a tiny town) on Sunday mornings during our Worship Services.

Kids' Choir J.A.M. (Jesus and Me)
Kids’ Choir J.A.M. meets weekly on Sunday evenings at 4:30pm. This choir is for children in Kindergarten-6th grade.

AWANA
Awana is a discipleship program for boys and girls, 2 years old - 6th grade. Your child will memorize scripture, spend time in worship, and play games weekly. Awana is a weekly Bible-based program that spiritually challenges young people in a fun and interesting way!

Upward Sports
Upward Sports is a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building and fun versus the "win-at-all-costs" mentality found in many children sports leagues.
We currently offer basketball, cheerleading, and volleyball at Sunnyside.

As Children’s Ministry Director, it’s a privilege to serve the Lord as a leader over children’s ministry. A Kingsport native, I came to my saving faith when I was a 4th grader. Sunnyside has been my home for +34 years and I have volunteered in the children’s ministry, youth, and college and career for +30 years. My husband, Craig, and I are blessed with two “Sunnyside-Grown” daughters, two wonderful son-in-laws, the most precious “Sunnyside-Growing” granddaughter, and a grand-dog! My desire is that each child will come to know the amazing love of God in his/her life. I want to partner with parents to help the children of Sunnyside Baptist Church and beyond become firm in the foundation of their relationship with Jesus Christ. I enjoy the work God has me at Sunnyside and am blessed to work with amazing volunteers.
