The vision of Sunnyside Baptist Church Children’s Ministry is to partner with parents in guiding their children into a personal relationship with Christ and actively disciple them to carry out God’s mission for their lives, which ultimately results in others coming to Christ.
From the moment your child enters, we will strive to connect your child(ren) in age-appropriate, engaging, scriptural teaching.
We know that children learn best in safe and secure surroundings. We also understand that parents can relax when their children are well cared for and safe. We believe in protecting children with an uncompromising safety/security process.
Our Kids’ Ministry works hard to have trained adults who come alongside you in your child’s spiritual growth weekly. We are here for you, cheering you on as you lead your child to love and follow Jesus!

Join us for a family Putt-Putt Par-Tee on April 27 from 6pm-8pm in the Family Life Center.

Baby Celebration and Dedication Day
Join us for Baby Celebration and Dedication Day on Sunday, May 12, 2024. We will begin with a brunch for parents during our Sunday School hour, followed by photos of all nursery children. Then, in our 10:30am worship service, we will have a special dedication of babies to the Lord. If you have a child who has not yet been dedicated, they are welcome to participate. To register, please call Mrs. Betsy at the church office.

Whether you assist with check-in, help out in AWANA, nursery, or help with our fun events, serving with Sunnyside Kids will be a fun and rewarding experience. We have a variety of opportunities to allow you to use your gifts and talents. Join the team!

As Children’s Ministry Director, it’s a privilege to serve the Lord as a leader over children’s ministry. A Kingsport native, I came to my saving faith when I was a 4th grader. Sunnyside has been my home for +34 years and I have volunteered in the children’s ministry, youth, and college and career for +30 years. My husband, Craig, and I are blessed with two “Sunnyside-Grown” daughters, two wonderful son-in-laws, the most precious “Sunnyside-Growing” granddaughter, and a grand-dog! My desire is that each child will come to know the amazing love of God in his/her life. I want to partner with parents to help the children of Sunnyside Baptist Church and beyond become firm in the foundation of their relationship with Jesus Christ. I enjoy the work God has me at Sunnyside and am blessed to work with amazing volunteers.
