The vision of Sunnyside Baptist Church Children’s Ministry is to partner with parents in guiding their children into a personal relationship with Christ and actively disciple them to carry out God’s mission for their lives, which ultimately results in others coming to Christ.
From the moment your child enters, we will strive to connect your child(ren) in age-appropriate, engaging, scriptural teaching.
We know that children learn best in safe and secure surroundings. We also understand that parents can relax when their children are well cared for and safe. We believe in protecting children with an uncompromising safety/security process.
Our Kids’ Ministry works hard to have trained adults who come alongside you in your child’s spiritual growth weekly. We are here for you, cheering you on as you lead your child to love and follow Jesus!

GROW Kids 2025/2026
It’s time for GROW Kids 2025-2026. This is our mid-week program where we have Bible lesson, Bible Scripture Memorization, Worship, Outreach Focus and Game Time for children age 2 through 5th grade. We follow the Sullivan County School schedule.

Hop Into Spring Party
Join us for a night of inflatables, felloship, and fun for toddlers-5th graders on Friday, March 6 from 7-8:30pm.

Easter Egg Hunt
April 4 at 11am, we will be having our annual Easter Egg Hunt. We will have special hunting areas for crawlers - 5th graders as well as an area for children who need quieter hunting. A special Gospel presentation will be presented by our GLO Puppet Ministry at 11am. Doors open at 10:45am.

Baby & Child Celebration & Dedication Day
Join us as we celebrate families committing to raise their children in the Lord! May 10, 2026 during the 10:30am Worship Service. Let us know if you would like to dedicate your child.

Summer Fun for Kids
Join us on Wednesdays beginning May 28.
Get ready for 8 weeks of wild, wacky, wet and wonderful Summer Fun.
We will have a Bible time, worship, and games each week.
Send your kids in old clothing (and shoes) that WILL get stained. We suggest you select one set of old clothing and send the children in that same set of clothing each week.
Eye Protection each week...a set of swimming goggles will be perfect and can be picked up at the Dollar Tree.
Bring a towel for your child each week
Cover your car seat with a trash bag or an old towel...just in case.

Nursery will be provided for children 2 and younger for parents in choir or prayer meeting

Faith Quest: Journey to the Jungle
May 31 -June 4
6pm-8pm Nightly
Children 2 years old - 8th Graders Welcome
GLO Puppet Ministry will be performing nightly, Bible Stories, Music, Snacks, Inflatables nightly, fun and fellowship await. 6th-8th graders will travel offsite nightly to surprise destinations.
Every child receives a free t-shirt, YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED BY April 24!!!!

Volleyball Boot Camp
Target Audience: Open to K-8th grade athletes.
Details: Sessions focus on fundamentals, building confidence, and working with DB High School Head Coach, Katie Helvey.
Dates: Thursday & Friday, July 9 and July 10 from 6pm-8pm.
Location: Family Life Center
Cost: $25 (includes t-shirt). Must pre-register by June 22 to receive a t-shirt.

Kids' Summer Camp @ Camp One
July 11 - July 13 we will going to Camp One in Eidson, TN. You must have finished 1st - 5th grade to attend. We will be participating in river tubing, swimming, worship, gaga ball, low ropes course (zip line, slack line, team building, & more), field games, extreme tag, glow games, crafts, bounce houses, camp fires & smores, and so much more!!!
The camp is free, but you will have an opportunity to make an optional love offering for your child to attend. See Mrs. Tammy for more information. Registration will open April 1 for 2 weeks only.
